Commitment to Ethiopia
The “Swiss Surgeons in Ethiopia” Foundation has been committed to trauma surgery in Ethiopia for 25 years. Founder and surgeon, Dr. med. Jörg Peltzer, started a trauma surgery project in Jimma, Ethiopia in 2006. In order to finance this project, he combined his hobby - cycling - and with every kilometer traveled, he managed to motivate people in Switzerland to donate. In autumn 2024, 50 bikers will cycle 1300 km in 10 days to collect CHF 1 million in donations. An exceptional way to do good. Patrik von Arx, founder of Varem, is personally committed to actively participating in this project and has trained fully for this good cause.
